It is our pleasure to invite you to join the Balkan Myeloma Initiative in organizing the Balkan Myeloma Study Group, consisting of representatives of national associations and recognized myeloma experts.

The goal of such initiative would be closer introduction of this region to the international myeloma community, emphasizing the potentials of the region, expanding the participation in the international clinical trials and wider open access to the new treatment options.

With a strong belief that Balkan Myeloma Initiative would be of major significance for the upgrowth of regional multiple myeloma programme, we are looking forward to your responses and future cooperation.

Dear Colleagues,

Balkan Myeloma Study Group is honored and proud to cordially congratulate our BMSG President, Professor dr Meletios Athanassios Dimopoulos for the Waldenstrom Award of the 16th International Myeloma Workshop!

The Waldenström Award is given by the IMS at each International Myeloma Workshop starting in 1989. This award is given to outstanding researchers in recognition to their contributions to the myeloma field. The award is named for Professor Jan Waldenström, who was a pioneer in treating blood cancers.

Very best wishes to our President, Professor Dimopoulos for further rise up of such brilliant scientific achievements, and keep the winds of scientific success leading the BMSG!
